Theme 3- Portrait- Canine

Some good photographs
-->
This is a photograph that I have taken of a sprinting dog.  Whilst I was taking these photographs I noticed that there were nearly all flat and normally uninteresting. So I had decided to make this photograph more interesting by using a canted angle (Dutch angle) photography shot.  This makes me like this photograph much more as there is much more going on.  I also like that the horizon is at angle, which is not parallel to the canine or the floor surrounding the dog. I captured this photograph by using the ‘sports’ mode on the camera so that I could capture the correct
moment with as little blur as possible on the main subject. As you can see there is mud flying off of the dog, and the dog is sprinting, but the image remains somewhat crisp and detailed.

(Right) this is a photograph that i have cropped using Photoshop. I did this so that it would be a more panoramic view of the dog, and it looks far more exciting and effective. -->

This is a photograph that I have taken using ‘sports’ mode on my camera settings, and then I also used a tri-pod so to capture all of the water droplets airborne. I like this photograph because I have taken the photograph at a sort of angle at the dog. It looks like a ‘contended’ or a ‘Dutch’ angle which is the technique which I was intending to achieve. This helps to make the photograph far more interesting and involving. The light is very good in this photo, which allows maximum detail, and focus, which increases the photographs effective factor. I have also included this photograph in my ‘Professional Comparison’ where more detail will be discussed.
